Full Name: Natasha Marne
Nickname:[/u] Tash, Tasha, Sha
Age:21
Background: American (Italian, Welsh)
Status: Human (Demon Familiar)
Appearance: Natasha is a lanky, flat chested woman, well built. She stands about 5ft 6in tall and weighs a good 150 pounds (Got to love muscle mass). She has black hair down to her shoulder blades, very straight and smooth, though it waves if she doesn’t brush it. She has bright violet eyes unless she's feeding or most recently fed; than they're gold. Natasha dresses rather classy since meeting Felix, most often seen in a loose fitting dark red dress shirt and black leather pants, most often wearing dressy boots.
Personality: Natasha is a confident young woman, almost to the point of arrogance. She hates being told what to do and when to do it, something she has to deal with alot. she's quiet, but not in a shy way; more of 'I dont talk to you if you look/seem boreing'. she's very much a cold person, though being so is eating her up inside. She needs someone to show her its alright to start fealing emotion again.
History: (Minimal 1 paragraph)Natasha was born the youngest of seven children. Her father was a local University Professor and her mother a Secretary at a pharmaceutical company. Both were well paid, but had no time for any of their children, let alone their youngest. Raised by a nanny, she was sent off to boarding school when she was 10, after attending the Modern Day School up to 5th grade.
Attending the Riverdale Academy for young Women, she became proficient in Mathematics and Physics, as well as an excellent cook. She exceeded expectations in her English classes, and was a talented artist. When she was 16, she got involved with two other girls who were Witches. The spells and Charms came to Natasha naturally, though something seemed missing from her craft. She secretly began to practice magic with her two friends, though all three parted ways upon graduating.
She went off to college, and ended up landing with a charming witch named Jessica (Jezryen was her Craft name) as her roommate, though neither learned it about the other till they were starting their second of five years. The two began exploring different avenues for their magic, Jess looking ahead, at science to help her, and Natasha looking back, digging around for older and older books, writing to other witches she learned about in her searching.
Natasha was the one to strike gold. She stumbled across an old book at a yard sale, with the words Veneficus Cruor scrawled across the leather cover. She bought it from the owner for five dollars, and began to read. Veneficus Cruor meant Witch’s blood, and that’s exactly was the crumbling text was. A book on the magic contained within the blood of a witch. Finally her historical knowledge, artistic skill, and excellent penmanship could be put to good use. All the magic in the book required drawings, done in blood. The more she read, the more she realized this wasn’t good magic, healing or helping. What she’d found was fighting magic. There were all sorts in the book, but it focused mainly on fighting, and dark magic.
Natasha, by the age of 20, when she was in her 3rd year, had accumulated several books on the subject. She had copied everything that she’d wanted (reluctantly even the fighting spells) from the books, and had gone to the library to bind her random papers into an actual book. That night, a murder was committed on campus; something that hadn’t happened in the past 63 years.
Jezryen had been murdered in a locked room, all doors and windows bolted shut, and anything magic related burned in the bathtub, missing, or destroyed. This was the moment that Natasha dropped off the face of the planet. Once the police had questioned her, determined that she wasn’t involved, she vanished. In truth, shed decided to do the one thing that no witch would ever do, unless they had a death wish. She summoned a demon.
In exchange for the name, and allowing her to kill the man who did this, she was the demon’s to do whatever he wanted. She in truth did have a death wish. She wanted to avenge her friend, than she felt as though she had no future. There was nothing for her anymore but revenge; at least in her mind. With a bit of investigation, the demon, Chronos, discovered two important things. One, this girl was very powerful, but had no idea of what she could do. Two, the person who had killed the girl’s friend was Septarus, probably to prevent this old magic from resurfacing. Little did Septarus know, he’d killed the wrong witch.
Chronos decided to make Natasha his familiar, forcing her to stay with him, and obey him, but let her keep her free will, since he found her amusing. The process of making a human into a familiar is better left unstated, but involves blood. As a result of this transformation, Natasha has several abilities, some new strength, and a bunch of new weaknesses. Natasha is now 21, and has been with Chronos for 2 years. She has yet to avenge her best friend’s murder.
Residence: (Where you live) Follows Chronos wherever he goes, so doesn’t really live anywhere
Role playing example post:The young woman took careful, deliberate steps towards the apartment building. She brushed her dark hair out of her eyes and back into the ponytail. Her ID pinned to her chest said she was Senior Detective Catarina De Luca, though that was the biggest lie ever. There were glyphs etched into her chest, probably scabbed over by now. She could speak English but it would come out Italian, and she would hear English if Italian was being spoken. She was so happy shed found that spell in the book Chronos had found for her.
Nodding her head to the guard outside the door, she walked into the building. It was late, and there was no one there, except the guard. She’d picked this time specifically, because the other guard left to go get more coffee right around midnight; less people for her to deal with. Her brilliant violet eyes scanned everything around the crime scene, as she reached into the inner pocket of her suit. She pulled out a penknife and pressed it into her palm, than licked the blade clean of the blood, letting it pool in her palm before dipping her fingers in it, and kneeling in the middle of the room.
Blood stained fingers quickly began to work, painting first the glyph for time, and than how long she wanted it to wait. These she’d painted into a circle, than dipped her fingers in the blood again to gently stroke the Glyph for fire in the middle of it; now for the boundaries. She stood and walked to each of the corners, painting a glyph on the walls, though a rather large one. Finally she turned to the bed and painted a glyph there. Looking around the room, she licked the blood from her hands, murmuring a quick spell to stop the bleeding. That one she’d memorized long ago. Now she had to deal with the guard. “Excuse me!” she called out, “come here a moment, I think I’ve found something but I can’t move this table.”
She moved silently, and he died likewise, her penknife through his throat. Two minutes left. High heals clicked as she stepped over the corpse, and than silently moved into the alley by the building, weaving her way through the streets. She knew she’d done her part right, having done it plenty of other places before. She sighed, having walked over a heating vent to find herself face to face with a purple mist, hidden by the steam from the vent.
“Hello Chronos. Can I get out of these d**ned heals yet?”
Tasha's Blood magic
Natahsha’s magic involves drawing symbols with blood. The more elaborate what she wants to do, the more blood it will take. She’s limited by the amount of blood she can take from herself without killing herself. However, another witch or vampire’s blood will work just as well, but obviously that’s not too easy to get. No she will not have blood stockpiled, it has to be fresh, which is why she uses her own often. Natasha never had time to get any of the more powerful spells out of the books before Septarus destroyed them, so anything strong, she’s figured out on her own and is prone to mistakes. She’s constantly on the lookout for more books, knowing that the magic has GREAT potential. But if she can’t find books, trying would get her killed. It’s a magic that’s very dangerous to the caster. Obvisously, its time consuming, and you cant do something else while doing it. you also cant do half now, half later. The blood must all be at least somewhat damp. If part of it is completely dry, it won’t work.
If you want me to, I can make a list of the things she’s capable of, but it would end up being a long list, though the things on it would be prety weak. The fire spell she used in the RP sample is one of the stronger things she can do, and that combined three seperate spells; time, boundary, and fire.
to explain the entire familiar thing, I basically took the demon application. Thought it would make the most sense.
Name of species:Demonic Familiar
Physical Description: they begin as human, and look the same after they're bound
Characteristics:Like witches have cats for familiars, demons use humans. Usually stupid humans who were tricked into being one, Familiars are humans who have sold their souls to a demon in exchange for some sort of aid. In Natasha’s case, she's doing it willingly, and because of this was allowed to keep her free will. their characteristics are almost the same as a human’s, except their bodies and minds age at about half the speed. Most will live to be about 150-160 years old. because the human usualy has no say in the matter, and has no free will, they gain no special powers becuase of being a familiar.
Food: they require normal human food, but also blood, their demon's blood. However Natasha needs human blood as well, because of her magic.
Evil?: (Yes/No) depends on the demon they're bound to (Natasha Yes)
Species Origin: they are made by demons, to serve them
Weaknesses: can’t be apart from their demon for too long, since they need the demon’s blood to live. Have no control of their own lives, have to obey their demon. Pretty much remain human. Tend to be tired a lot, since they’re storing energy for a demon, and demons use a lot of energy.
