Cordelia Chase stood at the mouth of the cave where she had been trialed and tested for so long. Time seemed to pass really slowly, it felt almost like months, but she knew that couldn't be possible. She was beyond tired, mentally and physically, but she didn't care. She just wanted to be alive again. To feel. To help. To just, be. She had been through so much, and all she wanted was an escape. Dirt was in her hair, on her face, and covered her clothes, and blood was visible through her white gown, which had been ripped. She glanced desperatly up at the ceiling of the caveeee and threw up her arms. "I've done everything you asked!" she yelled. "I'm tired and weak, and i need your help" she finished, eagerly awaiting an answer.

The Oracles had been watching this higher being as she went through the trials. Most of them were mental, though some physical. She had been forced to fight demons, to make hard decisions that no one should have to make. Now she was done, she had completed the last trial. It was time for the Oracles to consult with her, to find out why she had gone through so much to meet with them. Usually they would have simply entered her mind as to see what she had wanted. But, as a higher being it was almost impossible and frowned upon to break such barriers. Aries siganled to Agnales, the male oracle, to come with her and meet with this higher being. He nodded and with a snap of their fingers they appeared in front of the girl.
"What have you brought us as your offering?"[/b] Aries asked the girl, her voice showing no emotions as the Oracles didn't truly have emotions at all in their lives.

Cordelia jumped. "I wish you wouldn't do that...." she said, then held out her hands to Ariel, showing a large diamond. "It's The Illuminata diamond. It has "quasi-mystical" quantum properties. In other words, it is able to mix physical energy with mystical energy, combining your powers." she said, handing over the gift. Cordelia wasn't suprised at the coldness in Ariel's voice, she had gotten used to the feelingless tone.

Arie simply ignored the comment the woman made about not appearing in front of her. As she handed her a diamond Aries accepted it and listened as the woman explained what it was. Aries looked it over and considered its characteristis before deciding that it was worthy, and then handed it to Agnales to look at. As he took it from her hand she turned back to the girl, ready to give her the one wish promised after completing the trials. She didn't know what the girl could possibly want, as she was already a higher being. But, she simply stood, her hands at her side and her blue skin illuminating off of her even more blue eyes as she looked at the girl.
"Your gift is worthy, what is it you ask of us?" Aries said to the girl, her tone cold as it was before.

Cordelia took a deep breath and looked the Gods square in the eyes. This was it. The moment. Would they grant her wish?? "I wish to be human again" then quickly added "Please". in a weak voice. Then she decided she'd better justify her choice. "I miss them, everything." she explained, tears welling in her eyes. "I want to help again. But not like this. As a human. You have no idea how much that would mean to me if you granted me that one wish" she finished, the edge of desperation in her voice getting clearer.

"Why you would wish to become something lower then what you already are baffles me. But you passed the trials, and therefore your wish will be granted."
Aries spoke and then nodded to Agnales to do the deed. Usually Aries did the speaking and Agnales did the actual wish granting, as it had been tonight.
"Goodbye foolish one, let us hope that you will not grow to regret your decision." Aries spoke, her voice cold and truthful as always.
With that the two oracles did a simple snap of their fingers and Cordelia was suddenly in Italy, in front of her human allies apartment. She hadn't said this but the Oracles knew that is where she wanted to be, and had given her her humanity back.

Cordelia was overcome with emotions. She didn't have the chance to say thankyou to them before she vanished, but she knew they knew. Looking down at her body, she felt that she was solid again and her hands traveled to her hair. She pulled a strand and noticed she was a brunette again. She was human. "Thankyou" Cordy whispered, a single tear of happiness rolling down one cheek. She then walked into the apartment with a smile beaming from ear to ear.There were no words to describe how she felt at this moment in time. She knew the oracles thought she was crazy, but she couldnt care less. She was alive once more.
