Destroyed. What was once Madax’ kingdom was now destroyed and replaced with…humanity. Even now, the stench of humanity was on Madax, and in his soul. How could all of this happened? Millions of years ago, he was the face of death and chaos. He ruled with an iron fist and was never questioned. Above all, he was the symbol of power, and when one was faced by Madax, they would torture and then kill themselves because they knew that he would just do worse and not kill them at all. Now, all of that power was put into the form of a young human, and that kingdom that Madax had once ruled was gone, and done for. What was once a dominant being in control of what at the time was what seemed like the world, was now a dominant being that was in control of nothing, let alone able to keep the human spirit within from merging. He was truly…a freak of nature. A human soul mixed in with a pure demon’s essence. Both personalities combined into one, and for the first time ever, Madax felt something that he, himself could not describe. He did not like the horrors he had done to humans that were innocent in the past. He disliked the things he did to them, and even more, it made him sick to his stomach. What he did not know, was this feeling did have a name, actually several, and its most common name was guilt.
Madax stepped forward and stood still on a church top in New York. It was a massive cathedral, home to the religious symbol that these humans now worshipped. Madax had seen several of these crosses throughout New York, the place in which he had seen the most people so far, and also the place in which his throne room was once located. He took a sigh of sadness, as his face was a mixture of both anger and grief. He looked up into the starry night sky, witnessing the full moon, and realized he had only seen a starry night once, and that was when he had first arrived here in this world, millions of years ago. After that night, the skies were covered in so much smoke, and so red that the stars never showed their faces again. He then looked out at the city before him with his glowing yellow eyes, for he was in his demon form, and witnessed that the stars had taken form below him as well. The entire city was filled with lights, just as it had been centuries ago.
“Every day that passes, I feel more sorrow and anger for what I have done and what I have become,” he said, “this did not happen at first, though I had sensed some changed, I expected them to die away like the dieing heartbeat of an enemy, but then I find myself anew with a human’s soul…this humanity…it is a stench on my body that I cannot remove, it is like rolling around in fresh offal and feces and the smell will never go away! Yet, I am at peace when I know the benevolence that this soul has offered me…but Illyria…I could not kill her…why? Was it because she suffered the same fate as I did when she became one with her shell? Why is it that us Old Ones cannot stay the way we are in human form, yet a half breed such as a vampire, or any other God can suffer no such problems while in this realm? Is it because they lack the powers we do?”
Before he knew it, he heard the sound of someone behind him. Curiously, Madax took his human form and turned to see who it was. In this form, Madax wore a leather jacket with a black t-shirt, and black tripp pants with chains. His eyes were a green color, and his hair was dark brown with a few curls and combed.
"Is anyone there?" he asked cautiously, knowing that someone was there, but did not want them to know what he really was. He could smell them out as if they were right infront of him.

Remmy had entered the church a little while after nightfall. The vampire was thirsty and priests and nuns were one of his main dishes after women. The church made him uncormtable due to holiness that was all around him. He noticed the pews had crosses on the sides of them. The last time the english vampire entered a church he was alost killed. There had been a group of villiagers awaiting him and they poured holy water and held crosses against him. Luckily he was able to overcome it and end all thier lives. If Remmy had been younger he would have died or stop exsiting since he was already dead.
The vampire located the office in the back and changed his face to its demon form. "What if I sire a priest" he thought. HE had never done that and wondered what a priest would be like once a vampire. Ramirez pondered if he should but quickly thought against it. Siring vampires ussually came to bite the sire in the ass in the future. With that decided he burst into the door to find a startled priest. Remmy saw the priest hold up a cross and start praying. "This will be fun" he mumbled.
Several miinutes later the priest was just a lifeless body missing several parts. He wiped the blood of his face and smirked. "That was tastey." the vampire commented. He jerked his head upward and noticed another scent around. It was human but wasen't. The puzzeled vampire's face returned to normal and followed the scent. It eventually led him to the roof. Before he could see who it was the person notcied him. Remmy came out of hiding and faced the stranger. "Your quite observant."

Madax looked at the person before him. Without a second doubt in his mind, he could tell that it was a vampire, and the vampire had just fed on the priest that had let Madax in earlier. The Old One stepped forward, with a posture like a warrior king. Madax’ face was now expressionless, but inside this vampire had committed an evil act, and from the look of him, he had done many more before.
“I didn’t think that vampires could enter churches,” he said coldly, “I would have thought that they would be covered in smoke if they did and suffer skin irritation for a week.” The Old One had no fear of the vampire, and the vampire had no idea what the hell Madax was, or what he could do, but the vampire probably had an idea now that Madax was not entirely human, and indeed something else. Madax would have fun with this, making the vampire guess what he was.
Madax softly brushed his fingers through his spiky hair, feeling it held together by gel. He took in a bit more of the air again and then exhaled out, leaving a trail of cold exiting his nostrils and into the biting cold air.

Remmy noticed that the man did not walk like most. He had no doubt he was more than human but specis guessing was never his strong suite. The vampire sat down not think the man was an immedite threat. Also the centuries old vampire did not like to gorge himself on blood once he was full.
"No, we can. It just make us feel uncomfortable like when your in an akward situation" he said calmly. He smirked at examined the boy. "What are you then, I can certinaly tell your not an ordinary human" Remmy added.
Maybe thats why he was more calm and not as hostile around him. No, he was always like this, even around humans when he wasen't going to bite them. "So you some kind of hybrid child of a demon and human?"

Madax held back a laugh. This vampire had no idea what he was, and it would probably be a while before he even figured it out. A smile cracked across Madax’ face and stared at the half breed. When asked about if he was a half breed like him, Madax replied, “No. Lets just say I am one of those demons that your wouldn’t exactly find around these parts anymore, and of that certain species, I was one of the most dangerous of them all, if not the most dangerous. This…shell you see before you is what I have become trapped in, and I am bound to it for all times with the human’s spirit merged with mine. Two personalities becoming one. I’ll give you a few minutes to go over the species of demons in your mind, and I’ll let you know if you guess right at what I am.”
Madax walked over to the massive stone cross that loomed over the masses of people below. He leaned back against the left side, the arm of the cross just looming over his head. He crossed his arms, and kept his playful smile on his face for a bit. “I’ll give you a hint,” he said, “no matter how old you are, I am older.”

The vampire just sat there and listined to the being talk. He was getting bored and was glad when the man stopped talking. Remmy stood up and ran over the mans clues in his head. "Well compared to other vampires I am very old but if your older..." his voice trailed on. Remmy had fought many demons but knew none that used shells other then possesive ones but thier personalities did not merge with thier shells.
Suddenly a lightbulb went off in his head. He only knew of one thing older then any vampire. "A pure demon?" he asked puzzled. All the demons of the world right now were mixed although there were other that were purer but none that were completly pure. Remmy started laughing alittle at t he thought. "There are no pure demons left and the most dangerous ones were the ancient ones and they are all gone." the vampire said. There was no way the man was an ancient one or a pure demon at all.

Madax smiled a bit and stood up from the cross. “Oh I do believe we’re catching on to what I am,” he said with a grin now, “but I can assure you that I am an Old One.” Madax closed his eyes for a brief second, only to reopen them again, but with glowing yellow eyes. His body began to transform, until his clothing was replace with a reddish kind of armor, and two brass taloned claws. His skin became paler and his teeth bore fangs. Behind him were two leathery wings, that fully expanded a good 84”.
“I am the Old One once known as Madax Vodrex,” he said, “I am the one who murdered the monarch, Illyria and almost conquered the world until we began to lose touch of reality. I am back now, however. I may look different, but I am back and ready to start anew.”
His mere aura was enough to make the rooftop below them crumble, and enough to send disturbing images of his rule into the nearest minds. Images of his true form, his army conquering, and killing many. Even images of Madax’ fight with Illyria in both the past, and the battle between them a few days ago.
“Tell me vampire,” he spoke, “do you believe me now?”

Remmy became serious once the man started talking again and witnessed the transformation from man to an old one. At first he thought this was impossible and was just a magik trick but then he fell to his knees. Images of brutality and wars entered his mind at a racing speed but slow enough for him to see everything in them. The last one was a meomry of two old ones battleing and one was the one before him.
After the images passed he stayed on his knees for a sec to proocess everything. He slowly stood up and spoke "Tht was sodding horrible. Not even I would commit that much bloody torture. " Remmy might have been a souless creature but he had a limit. He saw in the meomories that his victims preferred to torture themselves and die then be tortured by him. Remmy had never struck so much fear into anyone.
"What are you doing on a church, shouldn't you be conquering the world and killing me." he said. Remmy stared at the old one. He was not scared of the being but scared at his past actions. As much as he would like to deny it Remmy knew he still had humanity in him and could still be scared.

Madax looked down and turned. As he did, he slowly reverted back to his human form. He had been asking himself the same thing that the vampire asked, but he also wanted to know why he merged with the spirit of a human. “I can’t,” he said, “when I took over this shell, I slowly began to merge with the soul of the human’s body. When I awoke in this shell’s body, I sensed Illyria again and decided to finish her off and leave me as the only old one left, free to take over this world once more. However the soul did not die, and it merged with me…keeping me from killing Illyria because she was now…an innocent of sorts. I could not harm her, nor can I harm anyone who is innocent, and good at heart. The only people I can harm are the guilty, and I have yet to discover why this soul is still alive, when an old one such as Illyria could easily obliterate the soul of her shell’s former self.”
Madax growled and went for the cross atop of the church, and with a simple jerk, he pulled the cross right off of the church and angrily threw it across the street as if it weighed nothing to him. He turned to the vampire and glared at him. “You half breeds have no souls,” he said, “you cannot feel guilt, nor pain, nor sorrow, and yet I do. What is it about you lower beings that make you special enough to have such power now when I ruled like a God? I was a God to several Gods and they worshipped me unflinchingly, and loved me like these humans love this…Christ person.”
Madax looked at the vampire and could tell her had some sort of fear within…so it was true and some vampires had fears of their own. How was it possible? Was it because even though it was a souless half breed, it too still retained humanity? Was this why most demons held some sort of remorse for their actions? Madax did not know why he felt the way he did, but he knew now that he was reliving all of his past acts, and hated himself for it. “I feel the pain of those I had tormented before everyday. Their sorrows cry out to me now more than ever because of the soul I now have. I have went to see the so-called shamans of the world. The best of the best, and none could remove my soul, saying that a force of great power held it to me, and permanently bound it to me. Now I suffer from this thing you creatures call guilt and it is horrific. I reek of humanity…”
Madax sighed, and tried to calm himself down. These emotions were difficult to control and began to ponder how humans managed to control this untamable fire that was emotion.

Remmy chuckled and smirked. He found this incredibly funny in a way. "Imagine a living god feeling guilt for his past sins against his subjects." The vampire knew he was not innocent so the being could easily kill him. In fact Remmy thought thats what he was going to do when he lifted the cross. "Guilt is not a creature but something that causes us to look for redemption. Luckily I do not have one or have not been cursed with one. This guilt will eat away at you forever." the vampire said.
He was having fun messing with the old one. Hopefully there would be no cosequences for his actions. "What have you been doing since your return? Punishing the evil and saving the good? Soon you will stand for exactly the oppisate of what you once where. No one will fear you or respect you" he said. Remmy rememered the time that he was human and had a soul. If he had one now he would have killed himself instead of dealing with his past crimes. "Your soul will never be removed."

Madax was becoming increasingly annoyed by the vampire’s taunts. Whether, or not he should kill the vampire now, or slowly was starting to rise up in his mind. He was an old one in a new world, and he could not properly take this new world, for he would have a guilt trip over enslaving the good, and if he were to even harm an innocent person of good, he would grow weak. Madax started to storm towards the vampire and glared into his eyes. If he could not kill the innocent, he could still take it out on the evil out there. There was always some evil to be vanquished.
“If there is no way to remove this soul,” he said with a grin on his face, “then I guess all I can do is repent for my crimes. I have nothing better that I can do, and I do not see myself cowering like a pathetic parasite and cry about the things I had done in my past life.”
Madax then recalled what the vampire had just done to the priest. With one swift movement, his fist began to rocket towards the vampire’s chest. Whether, or not he was still as strong as he used to be, he did not know, but if he could take Illyria down, he could take down this creature.
(I'll make this fair, if you feel like fighting. I haven't had a good one in a while)

Remmy had expected this and waited for the old one's attack. The beings foot connected with his chest and he flew into a wall of shingles. He was incredibly strong, of course, he was an ancient one. "Why are you attacking me. There are much bigger baddies out there compared to me." he said as he got up. Remmy brushed the dust off his cloths and looked around for any crosses. There was one big cross left and he had to pray not to get tossed into it.
"I did not ask to be a vampire and I only feed on one person every week or two." he said. This was not true about 400 years ago, back then he terroized any person he saw. Now he had grown much wiser and found killing was just a means to live to him. The vampire aimed his punch at the beings chest with his enhanced strength. "Lets see how your powers have been affected."

The old one wasn’t used to people actually fighting back. Someone was actually brave enough to do so, and for that he was honored to say the least. The vampire’s hit was enough to knock him down, but the hit was merely equivalent to a push, however it still hurt a bit, but just a bit. “You answered the reason yourself,” he said, “you still kill people. Innocent, guilty, it is all the same. I’d ask you how you would feel if those humans had a family that looked up to them, or if that human had a future doing something, but I doubt you would care. Unlike me, you have no soul anymore, not that you did, you are merely the demon that took over the human’s body and made it your own. This shell that I am in…he is no different to say the least, but he is still alive and one with me.”
Madax could have ended this by now. He could have set the vampire’s body ablaze, or could have swiftly taken the vampire’s head off, or even punch a hole through his body and rip out his heart. However, there was something about this vampire. Though the vampires that he knew from times before were stronger, and more feral than this vampire, they did not dare stand up to Madax like this one has. Madax would have a bit more fun with this vampire before deciding whether to kill him, or taunt him.
“The last vampire to stand up to me was one of your own ancestors,” Madax said, “it was lot stronger, and tougher than you, but it started to run after hitting me. I caught up with it and tortured it for a millennia before my death by the Wolf, Ram and Hart, however you are more of an honorable fighter. Let us see just how worthy of a fighter you are.”
Madax switched back to his demon form, and glared at his opponent with fierce yellow eyes. Luckily this vampire was not an innocent, nor were there such thing as one in Madax’ mind, but the best thing of all is he did not have a gem from the sarcophagus. Were he to have one of the gems, then Madax would slowly start to lose his powers until this vampire could easily overpower him and perhaps defeat him, but not kill him. Madax stood his ground, his wings expanded fully and ready to take down this adversary. Conquer all, rule like a God, and live like a King. It was time to fight fire with fire.
“Show me more of your fighting,” he said, “Illyria told me that the vampires of today could adapt to fighting, I wonder if that is true for you.”

Remmy wondered if he would survive this encounter and didn't care. His life had been long and uneccesary, and end to it would only be beneficial to him. "I had those things, I was a victim just like the priest downstairs but my fate is even worse." he said. His voice was sort of had a hint of despair. Remmy watched as the man transformed once more to get ready for his fight. "It will be fun killing you, killing a mortal god." he quickly added.
His face changed and his teeth were visible. "I am not a demon in a shell, I am the demon brought out of the man." responded the vampire. Remmy then and tried to knock him to the ground since his punch haden't done much damage. When he mentioned the vampires ancestors he knew the old one was talking about the Turok Han. Remmy had read about them as stonger but more savage creatures and was glad they were gone.

Madax leapt back, avoiding any oncoming punches from the vampire, however sighed briefly. Though for nothing, he still felt like giving the vampire the proper honorary respect. Normally Madax would be laughing right now and would have taken the vampire out then and there, but something held him back. As much as he was free to kill this vampire at anytime, he felt a sort of sorrow for the creature, and wanted to give him a fair fight. It was obviously the human inside of him.
“Who ever said I was mortal?” Madax asked, not sure himself if he was unable to age. Whether, or not he could be injured, was already answered. He could be injured, but it was highly difficult, the only thing that left a mark was when he stepped in front of a massive piece of machinery that crashed into him while on the road below…people called it a…mack truck. Madax got barely a small bruise from it, but nothing more. The truck however, was destroyed from ramming into Madax.
Madax quickly stepped forward, his right fist, which was his dominant hand, aimed for the vampire’s head.
